About IWA Europe

IWA Europe serves to address the specific needs of the European market. It is the meeting place for companies active or interested in the delivery of multimedia (audio and video) services to consumers or business customers via the net.

Formed in 1996, the IWA Europe, is an organisation whose aim is to forward the adoption of moving pictures and sound on the Internet: Webcasting, Streaming Media, IPTV, and mobile video.

What does the IWA Europe do?

The IWA Europe joins together, content and infrastructure providers, rights organisations and businesses looking to use these new technologies.

The IWA Europe is its members. We work in their collective best interests at all times to drive forward the international commercial marketplace for Webcasting, Streaming Media and IPTV.

As the market for streaming expands, the IWA is expanding across Europe, with representation in many countries. In 2001, IWA Europe launched in Russia and the Netherlands. For more details about how to initiate an IWA Europe affiliation, join us.

At our regular events and round table meetings you can hear representatives from across the industry talking about their real world experiences, network with others in your field and meet potential clients. For the latest updates, check events.

At IWA Europe endorsed conferences, members are offered reduced or even free passes. The flagship Conference and exhibition organised by NAB combines strong speaker lists and expert industry panels. Our judging panel gives awards to innovators in the field each year. We also are pleased to help Junction organise the TVoverNet exhibition and conference part of the IPTV world forum.

To fully address the key issues in the industry, IWA Europe drives specific initiatives. Headed up by experts in the field, we are constantly promoting best practice, encouraging business and attacking the fundamental issues that will enable us all to succeed.
